Self Service Password Reset (Guest/Affiliate/3rd Party Accounts Only)

Guest accounts are provisioned users who are not full time faculty or staff of the school, but have a business need to login to USC Mann managed devices. These accounts are only provisioned at the request of a suitable sponsor (department or unit head, lab PI, or pharmacy director) who has competled the appropriate service request form.


End users who have guest accounts (and USC iVIP accounts) are able to use self service password reset to change their domain password.




Self Service Password Reset Instructions


  1. Open a web browser as go to https://passwordreset.microsoftonline.com/

  2. Enter your username as <username>@phardom.usc.edu (e.g. joebloggs@phardom.usc.edu) and complete the Captcha challenge.

    Click 'Next'.


  3. Click the 'Email' button. A confirmation code will be emailed to the USC iVIP email address provided on the request form.

    Note: It may take a minute or two for the email to come through. Please also check spam / junk folders.


  4. Enter the verification code from the email, and click 'Next'



  5. You will be prompted to set a new password on the following page. Passwords must consist of a minimum of 16 characters.

    Click 'Finish'


Please allow up to 15 minutes for the password change to propagate before logging into a USC Mann managed device.
