Adding a Managed Xerox Printer to your USC Mann Device
Modified on: Mon, 18 Nov 2024 3:46 PMFaculty and Staff may add USC Mann Xerox Multifunction Printers to their devices using the following steps:
NOTE: Some Xerox Multifunction printers are departmental-owned. To access these, please first have the department place a request to add you by emailing mannit@usc.edu
Microsoft Windows
- Open the start menu by tapping the Windows key, and type 'Printers'.
- Click on the 'Printers & Scanners' option.

- Click 'Add Device'
- If you see the prompt 'Sign in to your work or school account to find printers' click 'Sign In'. At the prompt, click your username then enter your USC password.

- Click 'Add Device' again, followed by 'Search for Devices'
- Select 'Work or School' from the 'Show printers and scanners associated with my' dropdown menu when presented with options.

- Printers your account is authorized to use will be listed. Click 'Add Device' next to the printer you wish to install.

- You should now be able to print to this device from any installed application like normal.
NOTE: Printing to managed Xerox printers requires connecting to the USC Secure Wireless or the USC VPN.
Apple macOS

If not installed, open the App Store and install Universal Print.

Open 'System Settings' then scroll down to and select the 'Universal Print' item.

Click 'Sign In'. If prompted for permission to use microsoftonline.com for Sign In, click 'Continue'
- Sign in using your uscnetID@phardom.usc.edu credentials. E.g. ttrojan@phardom.usc.edu and your USC password.
- Once signed in click the 'Add printer...' button.
- In the search bar, type the three-letter building code for the location of the printer you wish to add (e.g. PSC) and hit return.
- Select the printer you wish to add, and click 'Add'.

You should now be able to print to this device from any installed application like normal.
